A day at the Sony Expo 2008

Christmas 2008 started with a brand new way. This year, is a techy Christmas for all of us with SONY Philippines' Christmas Treasures Expo 2008. It was a 3-day fabulous event held in SMX3 - Mall of Asia last Dec. 5-7. And guess what, trying to make the best out of the Sony Expo's booth experiences and freebies, I was there for 2 days! *lol*


The Sony Experience started with the registration area were a long line of the latest Sony Vaio CS Laptops of various colors facilitated the visitors registration. From here you can see how happy most of the people were with their first touch of the stylish and high-performing Vaio laptops.


SMX Hall 3 became a temptation island for all the gizmo enthusiasts. With all the HOT gadgets in every corner, the adrenaline rush pushed us to tour around in no-haphazard way (Thanks for the refreshing Coke Zero and Nescafe free drinks to recharge us up in our tour.). It's like we're so seduced and we wanted to drain our wallets and feed more transactions in our credit cards. Really! The Sony Cybershot T700, Sony Vaio CS, The 55" Sony Bravia, The Sony Ericsson Xperia , and more more more!!!

Free buffet lunch and front-stage seats were given to the top 50 Nuffnang Bloggers who joined the 'My First Sony Experience Contest' . Too bad I wasn't able to join and be part of them.

My favorite part of the Sony Expo 2008 was when KC arrived and the winner of the 'My First Sony Experience Contest' was announced and revealed to be Mr. Mike Pamero.The lucky guy received the slim and stylish Sony Cybershot T700. More than that - the experience to have a soooo close encounter with KC Concepcion , which will be a lifetime oh-so-good memory for him.

Note that KC is always kept secured by 5-10 bouncers in all Events she appears.


Oh well, I dont want to bore you with too much of my verbosity and so here are the best sights I had with my tour:

Sony showcased eight world breakthrough innovations, which can be good Christmas gift ideas for the people close to your life.

Another Sony breakthrough product that grabbed the crowd's attention is the Sony Bravia ZX1. The world's thinnest LCD TV (that is only 9.9mm). Definitely a BIG WOW!!! An LCD TV as thin as the Cosmo Magazine!




(b) Booths & Gizmos [flash required]
The booths I liked most are Xplod(for their carshow), Vaio (for their good backdrops for picture-takings) and Alpha(for the photo 'fireplace studio').
(c) People & Events[flash required]

Live musical performances from Sony BMG bands, such as Roots of Nature , Callalily, and the Itchyworms were done in the afternoons of the 3-day expo. DJ Slick Rick, TonyToni and Sam were there too to do the talking in the stage.
A Vaio Fashion Show was also held and is really cool (see video at the bottom of the page).

(d) Freebies
Together with fun are these items given to all registered visitors for free!
Each registered visitor was given a stamp card which needs to be presented and stamped in the booths. When completed... Viola! Instant gift items from Sony!


More items are given to Nuffnangers with VIP passes.

Sony Expo 2008 was definitely a HIT! An event enjoyed by everyone who prepared and made their way to attend it. From students to professionals, solos to groups, everyone had fun with the activities and booths that were completely family-friendly. And for those who weren't there, I hope that this piece of blog somehow made you experience the Sony Expo 2008 Christmas treasures.
